UAE’s landmark interfaith complex houses a mosque, church and synagogue
ABU DHABI: US President Donald Trump visited the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi as part of his official trip to the United Arab Emirates.
He was received at the site by senior Emirati officials, including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Dr Omar Habtoor Al Derei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments & Zakat; and Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and President of the Abrahamic Family House.
President Trump was accompanied on a guided tour of the interfaith complex, which houses three distinct places of worship – the Imam Al-Tayeb Mosque, St Francis Church, and Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue. Each building represents one of the Abrahamic religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.
Abrahamic Family House
During the visit, the POTUS was briefed on the centre’s founding vision and its efforts to encourage intercultural dialogue and religious understanding. He met with resident religious leaders at each of the worship sites and was introduced to community programmes aimed at education, inclusion, and mutual respect.
The Abrahamic Family House, inaugurated in 2023, has become a globally recognised symbol of unity and interfaith harmony. Its design allows each house of worship to retain its unique architectural and religious identity, while standing side-by-side in a single complex.
Trump’s visit highlights the UAE’s ongoing commitment to positioning itself as a regional and international hub for peaceful dialogue.
